When life gives you lemons you make a lemonade, right😏?

I had planned a trip to Copenhagen for spring vacation. Everything was already paid. Just get on the plane and enjoy a new culture. A few days before the flight I got a bad virus and a terrible cold🤧.

So I changed my plans for a 3-day mini-vacation to Viljandi (visit Viljandi), the old Hanseatic city, and discovered it through the eyes of a tourist.

The Hanseatic League was a medieval commercial and defensive network of merchant guilds and market towns in Central  and Northern Europe.

I realized that I haven’t shared this vacation video yet. It can be found on Krapsaka’s Instagram account. I actually wanted to make a shorter video, but I accidentally deleted both the finished video montage from the program and the video material. So one long video remained 🙃😅.

I haven’t written more about it either. Let’s fix that 😊.

👇🏼 I discovered that the prehistoric hillfort of Viljandi was inhabited in the 9th-13th century AD. Which makes a total of 5 centuries (500 years) 😳.
Until it was conquered by the German Crusaders and after that, they built a stone castle.

🌳 The size of the castle and the moats are enormous in their dimensions.
At the bottom of the moats grow tall trees that reach the tops of the ramparts.

Viljandi Suspension Bridge.
It was being renovated while I was there.
View of Viljandi lake
Lake Viljandi is in a primeval valley, which is 11 m deep, 450 m wide and 4600 metres long.
It was a super beautiful view 😍.

👜 I found super nice handbags 🤭. Well, could a woman be any happier!? 😄
I found a white and braided bag at Sinsay. I wrote more about these bags here.

And Metsvintage I found a sailor-style jacket and Indian bracelet 🥰.

Metsvintage is located at Lossi street 26, Viljandi city.
It was 7€ from Metsvintage secondhand shop.
If I remember correctly it was 3€ or 4€ 🤔
SĂľbralt sĂľbrale is located at Kauba 4, Viljandi city.
But there are stores from Sõbralt sõbrale all over Estonia. Each store has different merchandise, so if you see one of them, step in and have a look around 😊.
This leather bag cost 3€ from Sõbralt Sõbrale secondhand shop .
A clay plate cost 1.50€ from Sõbralt Sõbrale secondhand shop.

🍳 Viljandi Legend got delicious meat with fresh side dishes and Herr Artur offered a nice bachelor lunch 🤤.

Viljandi Legend is located at Tartu street 9, Viljandi city.
The view from the cafe window.
I think it was pork with cheese, boiled potatoes with warm white sauce and a fresh salad. It tasted good, the stomach was filled, and with the drink it cost about 15 euros.
Herr Artur is located at Väike-Turu 8, Viljandi city.
This Herr Artur caffe bun was epic! Small, pleasantly salty and well seasoned 🤤.
Next to Herr Artur, there is a great handicraft shop where they sell the products of various handicraft masters.
There was jewelry, clothes, handbags and much more.
The prices of leather handbags remained around 70 euros.

🏠 Hele Kodu (eng. Lihgt home) offered a place to stay (Hele Kodu Airbnb) this time. Beautiful apartment in light colors 😊.
(It is not a collaboration, I paid for my accommodation myself.)

It seems that finally, it came out as a delicious lemonade 😝.

* The entire trip, the places I visited and the products in the post were financed by me.
