Summer second-hand shop order vol 1

Since I’m back at salary work and last summer’s clothes were too small, I needed new basic clothes for work ASAP.

If you’re of a small size, then honestly – you’re very blessed!
Finding beautiful, high-quality, well-fitting, affordable and good material clothes for a large size – it’s a challenge.
But. I set myself a limit – firstly, I don’t overthink it!
Secondly – I’ll spend a maximum of 25€, because half of the summer is already over and I don’t plan on staying as big as I am today.

But. Even though it was a challenge to find these clothes AND make them match each other, it was actually quite nice shopping.

In total, these 8 things cost 25.60€ and 4 of them were brand new (with tags).
If I leave out this one winter blouse, that is, seven summer products – I got a total of 8 different outfit sets to wear.
And if I take a few more tops from the previous order, I’ll have even more sets to wear. That means I’ll be able to get through this summer beautifully. Very dramatic, haha.

Also, ignore my overcooked potato condition. I had just gotten home an hour ago and I was really tired from the workday.
I thought about taking pictures of things the next day, but after resting for an hour I realized that I would feel even less motivated to do it the next day, so I pulled myself together and took pictures.
Even though my face was tired and swollen (hello several weeks of heatwave and lack of rest), I was happy with the things 😊.
As you probably already understood, this blog is not an aesthetic, Pinterest board.
Just reflections on the life of an ordinary person, their joys and worries, and inspiration. So I should stop apologizing 🤐😄.
At the same time, it’s interesting to know why a person looks one way one day and completely different the next.
Who’s to say what’s more correct – to explain or not to explain?

* As always – things are just tried on and not stylized.

Light pants and an orange blouse

Light pink polyester pants.
I was so positively surprised by these pants when I took them out of the package.
I was very afraid (when ordering) that they would be an ugly beige color.

When ordering, the colors in the picture may be distorted to some extent. Having mainly ordered things online for years, I already know which colors are so-called “more dangerous” and which are safer.
Beige, light pink, light purple, pink, red and orange are the ones that play a lot with color tones.

In short, some beige tones look beautiful on me, others do not.
To my surprise, they have a pinkish undertone.

The material itself is strong and, thanks to this, falls beautifully and leaves a more polite overall impression.

Anyone who is a long-time reader knows that I absolutely do not like polyester things, because it does not let the skin breathe.
The material of these pants is: 94% polyester, 6% spandex.
I thought about whether to buy them or not. But since I knew that these cut suited me and I really needed (those kinds) pants and I had only two options- buy these pants or go without pants at all, I bought them anyway.

They are super comfortable and fit beautifully.
Let’s move on from here 👇🏼

Light orange blouse

Orange tie-front blouse.
It’s so-so soft! The fabric feels silky on the wearer, even though it’s actually 68% viscose, 23% polyester.
This shade of orange is so-so on me.
As I said, the selection of blouses was limited and I also needed some more formal summer blouses, so this one landed in my shopping cart.
Two ribbons in the front can be worn either loose (like in this picture) or tied into a tie (in the picture above).
It’s also new, with tags.

White and blue top

White and blue patterned 50% cotton, 50% viscose top.
Nicely breathable material. Light to wear.
Ah! And it had new tags.

Green cotton top

This cotton green top is a nice deep green color.
I was hesitant to buy it because the measurements were a little bit small for my chest, but with cotton blouses, it’s always 50:50.
Some stretch, some don’t. This one doesn’t stretch very much, but I put it on and I can wear it 😝😄.
And it had new tags.

Black turtleneck blouse

Yes! I have a big love for turtlenecks.
And yes I am aware that big people, especially those with a double chin, shouldn’t wear them because it accentuates the double chin. But love is love, right!? 🙄😄

Material: 66% rayon, 29% cotton, 5% elastane

No. I don’t wear it in the summer. I bought it for the winter 😄.

White airy cotton skirt

White airy cotton skirt.
I only noticed later that it’s hard to tell from the pictures.
In short, the reason why I’m holding my hand behind my back in the picture is that this skirt is about 8-10 cm too big for me at the waist.
-I’ll add the next picture of what the skirt looks like without holding it up-

I looked at the measurements carefully when buying, but as I already mentioned above, cotton is one of those materials that either doesn’t stretch or stretches very well.
According to the measurements, this skirt should have been exactly right in the middle for me, but in reality, it’s a little big.
Which is okay, because I can make it smaller.
Additional information – the ribbon in the middle of the waist is for decorative purposes only.

But the skirt itself.
Super cute! Airy. Some layers have a lace part. The skirt also has two layers.
The material is 100% cotton.

Note – in all the pictures after the one below, the skirt is tied together at the back with a hair pin to make it look better 😄.

The skirt, if it’s free-falling. It’s a little hard to see in the picture, but it’s a little big.
Green blouse without tucking into a skirt
Green blouse tucked into a skirt

Green and white patterned cotton blouse.
I love showing the difference between wearing a blouse tucked in and not tucked in.
The first version makes the overall impression sloppy and also makes me look older.
Not to mention that the whole impression becomes stretched out.

The second option emphasizes the middle and brings the proportions of the whole look into place.
The second option also lets the skirt and blouse shine separately, in other words, the clothes are not blurred together.
However, since the colors match each other, they do not have a contrasting effect.

About the blouse itself
The material is 100% cotton. It could be 2 cm larger on all sides.
It does not squeeze in the back and is not ugly. But I am not the biggest fan of it.
I actually doubted buying it.
I knew from the beginning that since it has two elastic parts under the bust, it splits the middle badly (I wear blouses tucked into pants/skirts).
I added the blouse to my shopping cart the first time, then removed it the second time when I was checking the items in the shopping cart. And then before I started paying, I was “No! I still need one more blouse”. I took another look at the entire selection in the store and added it to my shopping cart again 😄.
But I don’t know. This blouse isn’t ugly, but it’s definitely not my first choice to take out of my closet and wear.
I wouldn’t be surprised if I wear it a few times and then resell it.

What probably bothers me the most about today’s fashion is that the style, cuts, patterns, etc. are exactly the same as what I wore as a child when my life wasn’t exactly the happiest. And all of this somehow subconsciously reminds it.
As logically I understand that these cuts are not exactly ugly, but like 😬😬.
In short, let’s move on 👇🏼😄

Red blouse without being tucked into a skirt
Red top tucked into skirt

Red viscose top.

I also added some illustrative examples of the top tucked into the skirt and not tucked in.

About the top itself.
Beautiful bright red color. The material is 100% viscose, which means that it lets the skin breathe and is rather cool against the skin.
There are small black dots on the red.
Overall, a cute top ☺️.

Orange blouse with skirt. Not the best combo, but I can wear it that way if necessary.
And a green top and white skirt combo

In summary

After receiving this order, I was left thinking that all my last three second-hand purchases… their clothes are not my usual clothes at all.
But each order shows signs of what mood I’ve been in or what colors I’ve needed support from.
Okaaaaay, if I think about it for a moment, this order was the most like my usual style out of the three 😁.
You can see Spring order in here and Summer order vol 1 in here.

But it also seems that I’m letting my inner child play more and more with colors, cuts, and textures in my clothes. Which is really cute.
It seems that I’ve overcome the dark times of depression, where I only wore dark clothes and was in a strongly man’s energy. Whoosh 😮‍💨.
Now my clothes continue to show such a unique girlishness and also colors.

I wonder what the next stage is? Strong femme fatale? Red lips, brown hair, styled hairstyle and makeup, and carefully chosen seductive clothes?
Or a bohemian who wears eco-friendly linen and cotton materials? Haha 😅. We’ll see.

Did you like any of these products? Which one?
Let me know in the comments
