Could we please have more of an “I am special” moment in life, or do we have to collectively go through everything together?

The title and the idea behind the following story are written with humor/sarcasm.

Over the past few years, I have seen comments here and there: “It’s nice to know that I don’t have any unique moments or traumas, but many people are going through the same things.”

These comments have always made me smile because I can often identify with them.

I’ve had this feeling twice lately: “Oh! I have another new idea (or feeling)!”.

And then a moment later I realize that no, honey! It’s not just you. We’re collectively going through some kind of similar topic again.

Like. Thank you! And I thought I was a little different. Joke on you, Agnes! 😄

I’ve started to like pink in home decor. And colors in general!
Pink, white, yellow, blue, green, red, orange, etc.
Bring it on babyyyy! ❤️‍🔥

So I opened Instagram one day to kill time. And what do my eyes see?
“They say when a woman starts loving pink again, she’s healing.
The “I hate pink” phase was never about the color.”

My emotions were up and down in an instant. I said loudly: “Waaaaaaiiiit! Wha-aaaaat! Wow! Wait! What!? Ahhh!?” 😄.

And then I got to the comments and my little brain did something extra buuh-buuh 🤯🤯.

Because this comment with a marked like heart makes sense of this whole idea very well.

Sighs dramatically. So much for my special feeling, haha.

But seriously, I’m actually happy for myself and other women.

I really feel that after a very, very long time, I will be able to be free, to be flighty, to feel emotions deeply, to laugh, and to cry. And today I understand again that my tenderness is my greatest strength. I no longer have to fight for myself, I can simply be myself.

I’ve been rolling the thought ball for the last month that I’m going to make my own newspaper.

A newspaper that is a collection of my so-called most important discoveries, cool pictures, thoughts, etc. from the previous month.

And that only selected people (more important to me or “more mine” people) will receive this newspaper in their email. And finally, I’ll print them out as a so-called yearbook.

But I was scrolling through Substack and came across a post titled “Why Print Media Is the New It Girl”.

I read it until I got to the end of the post, where the author says that she made her own newspaper.

I just stood there and stared blankly 🙂🙂 and burst out laughing. So much for uniqueness, haha.

I’m actually glad that people are thinking outside the box and doing what their heart tells them to do.

This doesn’t mean that you or I can’t make our own newspaper ☺️.
