I did a second-hand shopping spree in the spring. I haven’t shown these finds yet.
Since I have gained a lot of weight (I think I’m now size 50 or even 52 (EU size)), as you can see from the pictures, I needed summer clothes as soon as possible. So the goal was to get a few tops for walking, which would also be made of cotton.
Also dresses, skirts and pants.
Nothing here has been matched with each other, but simply put on to show the products and take pictures.
In total, all the clothes cost 49.20€.
*These are second-hand products that were ordered from an online store.

I wanted a dress that would make me feel comfortable at home. This viscose dress is just right. Beautiful, simple, light and breathable.

The top is made of a nice, breathable material and is light. It has a timeless cut.
But it’s too small for me at the moment.
I bought some clothes from this order in advance, so to speak. Life has shown me that if you see something you like, buy it. Because with second-round products, you only have one chance to buy that product.
And since I don’t plan on staying this big for the rest of my life (it’s a longer story, I’ll talk about it in a future blog), I’ve decided to buy some products in advance.
Black pants are great for standing and at home, but my massive, beautiful hips take up too much material from my lower back. And I’m afraid that if I walked outside in them, they would just fall off my hips, because they are so low on my hips.

This top is made of very nice cotton material. The color is a cool soft orange.
Since my skin tone is cold and pinkish, I have realized over the years that colors with a cool undertone suit me more.
Warm makes me look too pink/ red or yellow.
I have already worn it outside and it is so comfortable! I love when the clothes let me breathe and don’t stick to my skin. Little win a day 🥰.

This oversized linen-blend blouse doesn’t suit me at all, haha.
I’m glad I got to try this color before I bought an expensive linen dress in the original linen color online.
This color just doesn’t say anything with my skin tone. It’s just something on me, but it doesn’t beautify me.
But it’s nice on its own. I’ve been wearing it at home, thrown over other clothes, because this year (2025) is a super cool summer in Estonia.
We’ve only had a few really warm days since spring. It rains most of the time and the temperature is somewhere between 14-18 °C and it is also often quite windy.. Well, like spring :D.

So I’m not selling it right now.

This white cotton top surprised me positively. It is a product of a no-name UK wholesale company. But the cotton of this top is so nice against the skin!
Soft and well-fitting and high quality.
It is always extra nice when a product that is ordinary surprises you so positively.

This white viscose-linen-cotton blend shirt is a little small for me at the moment.
But I’m already looking forward to wearing it. It’s so nice and airy.
It’s good to throw on something or wear it as a separate blouse.

Well, this blue cotton top is so nice!
Also too small for me at the moment.
But I couldn’t resist buying it!
It only costs 1.50€ and is 100% cotton.
Anyone who has ever lost weight knows how good it feels when your everyday clothes suddenly grow too big for you and then you just go and grab new things from the closet. Mmm! Idyllic!
Yep, I’ve experienced this myself many times in my life.

I chose this purple cotton top for walking outside. Made of nice soft material, but not too soft.
However, it is good to wear it under a sweater in the winter. I don’t know what winter is like where you live. But in Estonia, winters are sometimes very cold.
Especially when the humidity level is high.

This forest green cotton top also falls into the “small at the moment” category.
Made of a nice soft material. But same time is thicker material, i.e. the fabric, keeps its shape well and doesn’t stretch out.
But it was only 2€ and the material is 95% cotton, 5% elastane. So I bought it for the future.
Also, I don’t know if it’s just my own mindset or if it’s really true.
But having been very overweight and then slimmer again many times in my life… certain cuts, colors, and shapes suit you better when you’re thin and worse when you’re bigger. And vice versa.
For example, I have some round sunglasses. When I’m big, they seem to suit me like a glove. When my face is no longer round, they’re so ugly on my face.
I think that this particular shade of green is the same. It looks nice on me in a smaller size, but not so nice when I’m big.

It’s one thing to be big, it’s another to wear clothes that make you look bigger and/or don’t flatter you.
This orange top is just that.
I can’t really describe it, but you can probably figure it out by trying on different clothes.
Sometimes a blouse/t-shirt/top is loose and it fits a bigger person. Visually it looks nice.
But then there are those other moments where the fabric should be against your body but it’s not. And it creates this weird impression.
This top doesn’t look that bad in the picture, but in real life, it was neither one nor the other. Also, this specific orange shade doesn’t suit my skin tone.
So it’s going to be resold.

I wanted to try a blouse with a built-in bra.
Well, my breasts are too big for that, haha..
It’s neither one nor the other. I bought it specifically for wearing it at home.
It will definitely see use, but it’s not something I’d want to buy again, haha.
But never say never.
The material is cotton, polyester and elastane.

This skirt is, um, very ambiguous.
It’s 100% cotton and also brand new (although there were no tags on it).
But it’s very difficult to match it with other clothes because it has such a unique pattern. I’ve only worn it a few times.
It’s definitely a beautiful skirt. It just offers challenges.
Plus, it’s not as timeless-looking as I would like.
But I bought it because I desperately needed a skirt for the summer and had no choice. The joys of a plus size.

I bought this black t-shirt dress to wear at home and I LOVE IT!
Big, roomy, comfortable, breathable material. Cheff kiss 😘!
Material: 100% cotton

Ughhh! I fell in love with this red off-the-shoulder dress 🥰!
When I first put it on, I felt like a princess 👸💃, haha.
The material is 100% cotton. And it’s a thicker material dress, with a built-in petticoat.
Of course, I managed to wash out a little of the color with the first wash and the beautiful red turned into a faded red. I was so, so sad!
But the good old iron saved the day. So after ironing, its original beautiful red color came back.
Be wiser – wash clothes inside out and don’t add too much vinegar as fabric softener!

In my opinion, this dress needs a belt, I only had a wide black belt at home. But I think a wide brown belt would suit this better. It would bring a little softness to the overall look.
Anyway. I’ve already gone out in this dress.
As sad as it is, when I walk it either falls too low or too high. So either it reveals more of my breasts than necessary or the other option is to wear the sleeves up, which will lose that beautiful, fun and feminine look.
I need to think about how to solve this situation.
It’s even a little funny how we sometimes are insecure about some pointless things.
I’ve always liked to see what people have found in second-hand shops.
But, when I made a post like this, I had a slight doubt that does anyone would even like to see it?
Anyway, here is the post.
Let me know in the comments if you like posts like this? Is there anything else that could be mentioned in posts like this?
With love,
Krapsakas Agnes
