Hugh!? Home is no longer home!?

What do you mean that my home is no longer my home?😮🤔
Yep! Exactly that question was on my mind in late December 2023 when I returned home to Estonia after a mini-vacation from Riga.

At first, I thought I was imagining this homesickness. How can it be that I miss home?
I have a home! I have a stable job that I like. I have my life in Estonia!
WHAT do I miss?
However, the closer I got to Estonia, the bigger this longing became. When I got home I was teary-eyed because I was so confused. So where is my home? 🥺

This is also where my journey began, where I put too much pressure on myself.
But I didn’t realize it until three months later.
I downloaded Bumble in early 2024 and used the travel mode to meet new people.
My goal was not to create romantic relationships, but to get to know people and at the same time feel if I would develop a connection with the place.
At first I was drawn to Scotland and England.
But the more I was there, the more I got a “meh” feeling. Then I looked at Italy.
It seemed like a cool place and I have felt a connection with Italy since I was little.
But then I moved that place aside as well. I also looked at Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Denmark.
And then Italy started calling me again and again. There was a vibrating feeling in my heart, I knew it was a sign that this was my home 🤭.

Side note – if you are single and just want to make new acquaintances, the travel mode Bumble is even quite good for that. I made so many nice acquaintances there, with whom I still communicate.

Continues.
